Metal-Era obtains new representation

Metal-Era Inc., Waukesha, Wis., now is being represented in upstate New York by Roofing Trade Services, East Amherst, N.Y. Additionally, Metal-Era now is being represented in Maryland, northern Virginia and northwest Virginia by Architectural Construction Products LLC, Baltimore.

Boral Roofing opens design center

Boral Roofing LLC, Roswell, Ga., celebrated the grand opening of its new design center in Phoenix March 26. The facility will be used to showcase Boral Roofing's line of roofing tiles and facilitate The American Institute of Architects continuing education courses and product-training sessions. Visitors to the design center will have the opportunity to view concrete and clay roofing tiles in a range of profiles and colors.

IMETCO® acquires Martin Fireproofing

Innovative Metals Co. Inc. (IMETCO), Norcross, Ga., has acquired Martin Fireproofing Corp., Williamsville, N.Y., a manufacturer of specialty metal roof systems. Martin Fireproofing will merge with IMETCO, and the products will continue to be sold under the Martin Fireproofing brand name.

New Tech Machinery selects raffle winner

New Tech Machinery, Denver, raffled off a 6-inch MACH II gutter machine during the 2015 International Roofing Expo® in New Orleans.

Entry was free, and more than 200 people entered. Frank Algier, vice president of Vanguard Roofing, Wappingers Falls, N.Y., won the gutter machine, a retail value of $8,260. Before winning the giveaway, Vanguard Roofing specialized in roof system installation and repair. With the addition of the gutter machine, the company now will offer gutter-hanging services to customers.

Johns Manville expands TPO plant

Johns Manville, Denver, has announced plans to expand capacity at its Scottsboro, Ala., TPO manufacturing facility. The expansion is expected to increase production capacity at the plant 20 percent.

Tecta America acquires Metalcrafts Inc.

Tecta America, Rosemont, Ill., has acquired Metalcrafts Inc., Savannah, Ga. The company will be known as Metalcrafts, a Tecta America Company LLC.

Allen Lancaster will stay on as Metalcrafts' president. Jeffery and Joseph Lancaster will remain the company's vice presidents, and the company's headquarters will remain in Savannah.

Metalcrafts, a Tecta America Company LLC has been a part of the construction industry in the Savannah area for 46 years.

Former NRCA president's father passes away

McAdam

James McAdam, father of former NRCA President Jamie McAdam, president of F.J. Dahill Co. Inc., New Haven, Conn., passed away March 16. He was 93.

McAdam was executive vice president of F.J. Dahill for 43 years and worked at the company until February.

He is survived by his sister, Catherine; son, Jamie; three daughters, Beth, Patricia and Susan; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

SRS Distribution opens new locations

SRS Distribution Inc., McKinney, Texas, has opened new locations in Kennewick, Wash., under the Stoneway Roofing Supply name, and in San Angelo, Texas, under the Southern Shingles name. Both locations will carry a full line of residential and commercial roofing products.

In addition, SRS Distribution has acquired Roofers Supply and Service Inc.—Petry Roofing Supply Inc., Fenton, Mo., an independent distributor of residential and commercial roofing products servicing the greater St. Louis market. The branch immediately will expand its line of products and will transition its operating name from Roofers Supply and Service to Shake and Shingle Supply.

Alliance announces new member

The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress welcomes Dan Tinker, president and chief operating officer of SRS Distribution Inc., McKinney, Texas, as its newest Regent member.

Regent membership is reserved for those who commit $100,000 to the Alliance during a three- to five-year period. SRS Distribution's commitment entitles it to participate in the project task forces established to guide the Alliance's agenda and to attend the semiannual meetings of the full Alliance.

The Garland Co. Inc., Cleveland, has redesigned and released an interactive version of its Sustainable Solutions brochure. The interactive version includes blue icons that link to additional content, including detailed product descriptions, application videos and project profiles. Petersen Aluminum Corp. has created Publicize Your Project, an online tool to help construction professionals publicize their projects. The tool is available at www.pac-clad.com/publicizeyourproject.

JLG Industries Inc. has named Michael J. Brown vice president of sales and market development for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

Metal-Era Inc. has promoted Eric Godfrey to sales manager.

MHS Legacy Group Inc. has named Mark Gregory, Joe Lauberth and Matt McGrew shareholders of the company.

National Coatings Corp. has promoted Collin Qualls to national sales manager.

Parex USA Inc. has named Tiffany Awischus product manager for Merkrete tile and stone installation systems and Kevin Rantin marketing director.
