Moser Roofing Solutions donates roof to charity

Moser Roofing Solutions, Lancaster, Pa., donated significant roofing repairs to local charitable organization Mom's House of Lancaster in April.

Mom's House of Lancaster has served families in Lancaster County for more than 27 years by offering childcare services and educational and life skills support to single parents who desire to complete their education. Moser Roofing Solutions' roof repairs allow Mom's House of Lancaster to continue providing services for local parents attempting to move their families out of poverty and onto a path toward long-term economic stability.

"Mom's House is honored to have the support of Moser Roofing Solutions," says Sara Johns, executive director for Mom's House of Lancaster. "Their generosity fuels our mission and removes barriers to serve current and future families."

Tecta America acquires The Bri-Den Co.

Tecta America, Rosemont, Ill., has acquired commercial roofing contractor The Bri-Den Co. Inc., Ashland, Ky. The company will be known as Bri-Den Roofing, a Tecta America Company LLC, and continue serving customers in the Ashland; Berea, Ky.; and Lexington, Ky., areas.

In addition, Tecta America has opened a location in Naples, Fla. The new branch is Tecta America's sixth location in Florida and 60th location nationwide. The Naples location will provide commercial roofing services for customers in Florida's lower western region.

Tecta America New England celebrates anniversary

Tecta America New England, North Billerica, Mass., is celebrating 30 years in business.

Founded in 1988 as Delta Roofing, the reroofing and sheet metal company was acquired by Tecta America in 2007. Tecta America New England has received several awards during its history, including a Firestone Master Contractor Award, GAF Master Roofing Contractor Award, and Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Award. The company currently serves customers from its locations in East Hartford, Conn.; Hanover, Mass.; and Portland, Maine.

Nations Roof relocates service center

Nations Roof, Lithia Springs, Ga., has announced its National Service Center will relocate to Mobile, Ala.

The relocation allows Nations Roof to expand the National Service Center while adding resources to its Business Development Center to better support the company's 28 locations. Nations Roof gained its Mobile office after merging with Kiker Corp., Mobile, in 2016. The facility will continue serving regional customers, and a new building on the property will serve as the office for Nations Roof's National Service and Business Development Centers.

Duro-Last® announces award winners

Duro-Last Inc., Saginaw, Mich., announced the winners of its annual Project Awards during its National Sales Seminar held Jan. 29-31 in San Antonio. The Project Awards recognize Duro-Last contractors who complete outstanding roofing projects.

The following received Project Awards: Parsons Commercial Roofing, Waco, Texas, won the Roof of the Year Award for Sonora Independent School District, Sutton County, Texas; NRCA member Mid-Western Commercial Roofers Inc., Mobile, Ala., won the Custom-Fabricated Award for VT MAE Hangars 1 and 2, Mobile; NRCA member Commonwealth Building Systems LLC, Rockland, Mass., won the Edge-to-Edge & Deck-to-Sky™ Award for CBRE Commercial Building, Cambridge, Mass.; Premier Metalworks LLC, Waco, won a Metal Roofing Award for Potter's House of North Dallas, Frisco, Texas, and The Core Construction Group LLC, Decatur, Ala., won a Metal Roofing Award for a maximum security prison in Alabama; The Duerson Corp., Altoona, Iowa, won the Sustainability Award for Pella Regional Health Center, Pella, Iowa; and Jaco Roofing & Construction Inc., Angleton, Texas, won the Specialty Membrane Award for First United Methodist Church, Lake Jackson, Texas. In addition, Parsons Commercial Roofing, Waco, and NRCA member Royalty Roofing Co. Inc., Seymour, Ind., received 2017 Contractor of the Year awards for exceptional work on complex projects, customer service and record-setting sales.

Owens Corning names advisory board members

Owens Corning, Toledo, Ohio, has named four contractors to its Platinum Advisory Board. The honor is reserved for Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Preferred Contractors who demonstrate a commitment to sustained excellence in all aspects of their businesses.

Wayne Holloway, president of Best Choice Roofing & Home Improvement, Hendersonville, Tenn.; John Phillips, president of ARAC Roof It Forward, Kennesaw, Ga.; Levi Phillips, president of Idaho Roofing Contractors Inc., Boise; and Lenny Scarola, president of DreamHome Remodeling, Springfield, Va., joined the board. The Platinum Advisory Board, whose members share their market, product and technical expertise with Owens Corning, now has 17 members.

ABC Supply receives Great Workplace Award

ABC Supply Co. Inc., Beloit, Wis., has received a Gallup® Great Workplace Award, which recognizes the best workplaces in the world in terms of employee engagement, for the 12th consecutive year. The company is one of 39 companies to receive the 2018 award and one of a few companies to have received the award each year since its inception 12 years ago.
