Close-up

The Bradenton Beach City Pier in Bradenton Beach, Fla., located at the north end of Sarasota Bay, has long been a favorite fishing and dining spot of residents and tourists. However, following severe structural damage incurred during the 2004 hurricane season, the 650-foot-long pier was closed for $2.2 million of renovations. It reopened in the fall of 2007 and features a popular restaurant, Rotten Ralph's (pictured here), bait and tackle shop, pavilion and 300-foot-long fishing dock. As part of the pier renovations, Sutter Roofing Co., Sarasota, Fla., installed about 4,500 square feet of Petersen Aluminum SNAP-CLAD™ Panels finished in silver metallic on Rotten Ralph's.
