Scholarship applications available
Informational brochures and official applications for The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress' annual scholarship program are now available. Applications are for the 2008-09 academic year.
The scholarship program assists employees, immediate family of employees and immediate family of NRCA contractor members who plan to pursue post-secondary education in college or vocational programs. Scholarships are offered each year for up to four years of full-time study at any accredited post-secondary institution of the recipient's choice. Recipients are chosen based on academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of education goals and a third-party appraisal. Financial need is not considered.
The scholarship program is dministered by Scholarship America, a national nonprofit educational support and student aid service organization that seeks to involve and assist the private sector in expanding educational opportunities and encouraging educational achievement.
Interested students must complete and mail the application and an official transcript to Scholarship America no later than Jan. 31, 2008.

NRCA has partnered with Tampa, Fla.-based Hunter Warfield Inc., a collection and asset-management company, to offer NRCA members comprehensive collection solutions tailored to meet business objectives.
The program offers NRCA members exclusive and preferred access to asset investigation services and discounted contingency collection rates to assist in the recovery of outstanding receivables.
