Insulation is made from recycled materials

Freudenberg Politex has introduced Ecozero,® a panel for thermoacoustic insulation of walls and roofs that is made from polyester fiber obtained by recycling post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate bottles.

Ecozero reportedly is environmentally friendly and will not rot and is available in various thicknesses and densities. The panels are said to perform well as thermal insulation and acoustic insulation and provide fire resistance. Ecozero reportedly is compact, durable, breathable and nonallergenic.

Coatings add reflectivity

3M™ Industrial Mineral Products Division has introduced 3M Scotchkote Roof Coatings for low-slope roof systems.

3M Scotchkote Roof Coatings are waterproof and reportedly can help extend a roof system's service life. The coatings are said to be durable and weather- and ultraviolet-resistant. 3M Scotchkote Roof Coatings reportedly apply easily, add reflectivity, and can be used for new construction or reroofing applications.

Truck accessories are durable

DeWALT® has introduced its line of commercial rack, storage and carrier solutions, including more than 60 aluminum boxes and numerous adjustable steel and aluminum vehicle racks. The products reportedly provide increased durability, strength and security while transporting tools, equipment and materials to job sites.

DeWALT's truck boxes feature a one-piece base design that reportedly helps prevent structural collapse. The boxes also feature fully formed lids, enclosed locking mechanisms and dual-lift lid struts. The truck boxes are available in various sizes and reportedly can be mounted in various locations on trucks.

DeWALT's industrial-grade steel racks reportedly can carry up to 1,800 pounds. The racks are designed with 2-inch square metal tubing and equipped with double-load bars that reportedly can carry up to 40 percent more than single bars.

DeWALT's van racks reportedly resist corrosion and can carry up to 750 pounds. The van racks feature four adjustable load stops and a full-length rubber insert that is said to protect transported materials.

Tool kit simplifies installations

Coating features environmental benefits

Republic Powdered Metals Inc. has introduced its GEOGARD® LO Base Coat, an aromatic urethane base coat that reportedly is environmentally friendly and meets national and local volatile organic compound requirements.

GEOGARD LO Base Coat is a single-component product applied in one coat as the waterproofing layer for the GEOGARD Restoration System. Adhesive sets quickly

Worthen Industries has introduced a high-solids, single-component, solvent-based polyurethane adhesive. The adhesive is said to set quickly and yield high adhesion when applied to fleece-backed substrates, wood, composite board and nylon.

The adhesive does not rise and is said to spread easily. Its ridges are applied with a notched squeegee or trowel. The ridges reportedly remain standing and are then forced into the fleece backing. The membrane must be "walked in" after application, and the adhesive reportedly cures within hours of application.
