Ridge vent offers high ventilation

Benjamin Obdyke Inc. has expanded its shingle over roof ridge vent line with the Shark Ventâ„¢ XLP, an externally baffled ridge vent that extracts heat and moisture from residential attics. The ridge vent reportedly is strong and easy to install and features a net free area of 12 inches per square linear foot; "sine wave" shaped internal and external baffles with 1/8-inch-wide vent holes; installation guides, including nail lines, slot lines and a center line to simplify alignment; a wide center area; and a filtered option (Xtra) for extreme weather areas. The shrink-wrapped rolls reportedly are flexible, compression-resistant and resist cracking in cold weather.
