Cabinet protects safety equipment
KNAACK® has added the KNAACK Safety Kage™ 139-SK-01 cabinet to its line of KNAACK Safety Kage
products. Measuring 60 inches long, 30 inches wide and 60 inches high, the cabinet is designed to store
fall-protection equipment and personal protection equipment on job sites. The cabinet's interior features hooks to
hang fall-protection equipment; shelves to store hard hats, vests and gloves; and cubby holes to store smaller items
such as safety glasses and dust masks. The cabinet's exterior has protected storage spaces for a first-aid kit, fire
extinguisher and personal eye wash station. The KNAACK Safety Kage 139-SK-01 cabinet is constructed from heavy-duty
16-gauge steel panels said to protect gear from harsh weather, and the cabinet's safety-green powder-coated finish
reportedly enables users to easily locate the cabinet during an emergency.
Asphalt shingles resist wind uplift
IKO® has introduced Nordic™ heavy-duty laminated architectural asphalt shingles designed to resist
wind and impacts. Nordic shingles feature IKO's ArmourZone,® a 1 1/4-inch-wide reinforced nailing surface said to
enhance fastening power, enabling the shingles to resist winds up to 130 mph. The shingles' Fastlock™ sealant
strips also create strong bonds between rows of shingles, protecting against wind uplift and water penetration. A
coating of polymer-modified asphalt reportedly acts as a shock absorber to cushion the roof system from hail impacts.
Nordic shingles replicate the look and visual texture of wood shakes or slate tiles and are available in Brownstone,
Castle Grey, Cornerstone, Driftshake, Frostone Grey, Glacier, Granite Black, Sedona and Shadow Brown.
