Work cart has power strip

Milwaukee® has added the 40-inch Steel Work Cart to its line of steel storage solutions. Capable of holding up to 700 pounds, the tool cart features two drawers equipped with 100-pound soft-close slides, removable storage cups and an integrated wire spool holder. A built-in power strip enables a user to charge electronics and tools, and a fold-out work shelf is said to be ideal for holding a laptop. A barrel-keyed lock prevents the bottom drawer from sliding open when the cart is in motion.

Powder-coat finish is chip-resistant

The BILCO® Co. has introduced an option to add a Sherwin Williams factory-applied Powdura® polyester powder-coat finish to BILCO products. Cured at a hot temperature, the coating reportedly is durable, chip-resistant and weather-resistant. The powder-coat finish is available on steel and aluminum products. The standard colors available are Signal White, Cool Gray, Gray Brown, Jet Black and Zinc Yellow. Custom colors also can be specified.

Seam tape is skid-resistant

TAMKO® Building Products has made available TAMKO TW Seam Tape designed to close sheathing gaps on roof decks and protect against water intrusion. Made from flexible, self-adhering SBS polymer-modified bitumen membrane with a polymer film on the surface and a removable release film on the adhesive side, the seam tape has a skid-resistant surface said to enhance workers’ safety. After a roof deck installation, TW Seam Tape can be applied to all roof deck joints and seams before underlayment is applied. Available in 4-inch rolls, TW Seam Tape reportedly can be used on a variety of surfaces, including oriented strand board, plywood and other common roof deck materials.

Polyisocyanurate insulation is nonhalogenated

Atlas® Roofing Corp. has added ACFoam® NH products to its line of roof insulation products. The polyisocyanurate roof insulation products contain no halogenated flame retardants and reportedly are environmentally friendly options for designers and builders working on projects that must meet strict environmental standards. Available nonhalogenated products include ACFoam II NH, ACFoam III NH, ACFoam Supreme NH, ACFoam Recover Board NH, ACFoam Nail Base NH and ACFoam CrossVent NH. All ACFoam NH products can contribute toward LEED® credit requirements and are said to comply with California Department of Public Health volatile organic compound emissions. ACFoam NH product literature and packaging is marked with a nonhalogenated icon for easy distinction.

Concrete tile colors are neutral

Boral Roofing LLC has introduced its Vista Collection of five neutral colors for concrete roof tiles used in Texas. Charcoal Brown Blend, Chestnut Burnt, Dark Bordeaux, Weathered Cedar and Weathered Greige are available for Boral Roofing’s Saxony® Country Slate and Shake concrete roof tiles. The Vista Collection colors reportedly are designed to meet architectural, lifestyle and color trends in Texas. Manufactured sustainably with locally sourced geologic materials, Saxony concrete roof tiles are said to be durable and energy-efficient with a Class A fire rating. The roof tiles can be recycled at the end of their life cycles.

Heat gun has two temperature settings

DEWALT® has made available its 20V MAX Cordless Heat Gun. Measuring 7.68 inches tall and weighing 1.17 pounds, the heat gun is lightweight and portable. The 20V MAX Cordless Heat Gun has two temperature settings and a maximum heat output of 990 degrees. A lock-on and -off feature permits a user to engage hands-free operation as needed, and a LED light illuminates dark work spaces. The 20V MAX Cordless Heat Gun reportedly has an output airflow of 6.7 cubic feet per minute on its high temperature setting, and it has a 42-minute runtime on its low temperature setting when powered by a DEWALT 20V MAX 5.0Ah battery.
