Heater is portable

DESA LLC has introduced its Pro-Tough portable forced-air heaters, which are said to be lightweight and easy to transport. Three models are available, which provide 100,000 British thermal units (Btu) per hour, 150,000 Btu per hour and 200,000 Btu per hour.

Pro-Tough heaters feature 10-inch pneumatic tires, 13 1/2-gallon fuel tanks, built-in fuel gauges, electric intermittent spark ignitions, auxiliary power outlets and integrated extension cord storage. Hyster® Co. has introduced its S80-120FT and H80-120FT Fortis™ lines of sit-down, counterbalanced lift trucks.

Fortis counterbalanced lift trucks are available with three preconfigured power train bundles and feature 4.3L V6 engines, Pacesetter vehicle systems manager onboard computers and DuraMatch™ transmission systems. Sealant cures underwater

Geocel Corp. has introduced its 4500 EPDM™ Scypolymer™ Adhesive/Sealant, which reportedly features a one-step application and eliminates the need for cleaners, primers or additional adhesives. The product can be used as a lap cement adhesive or scrim edge sealant and can be applied, adhered and cured underwater.

4500 EPDM Scypolymer Adhesive/Sealant is said to be nontoxic, nonflammable and solvent-free. It can be used with most common building materials, including metal, wood, rubber and cement.

Manual offers recommendations

APA&151;The Engineered Wood Association has released the 2007 edition of its Engineered Wood Construction Guide, a reference manual for using engineered wood products in residential and commercial construction.

The 2007 Engineered Wood Construction Guide provides recommendations for floor, wall and roof system construction, as well as specifications for glulam (glued laminated timber), I-joists, wood structural panels, Rim Board® and structural composite lumber. Protractor is precise

The L.S. Starrett Co. has introduced its ProSite® CP505A-12 Combination Protractor, which is said to provide precise measurements for miter cuts, single cuts, compound cuts, exact and supplemental angles, and roof slope references.

Bird spike installs easily

Underlayment is slip-resistant

Benjamin Obdyke Inc. has introduced SynShield,™ a synthetic roof underlayment that is said to be lightweight and slip-resistant and protect against water intrusion.

SynShield has a black woven poly­propylene center and ultraviolet-resistant coating on both sides. The underlayment is 12 1/2 mils thick and comes in rolls that are 48 inches wide and 250 feet long. SynShield reportedly is durable and can be left exposed for up to six months.

Seamer is lightweight

Englert Inc. has introduced its Metal Man ES90 Seamer for use with its Series 1300 and 1301 standing-seam profiles.

The Metal Man ES90 reportedly can produce 90-degree seams on 1- and 1 1/2-inch Series 1300 and 1301 standing-seam panels.
