Water Cannon has released its new Intelligent Design Mobile Pressure Washer powered by a 4,000-pounds-per-square-inch Honda engine. The product can sense engine oil level and pump temperature, dissipate excess heat, release static back pressure and filter incoming water.

Insulation is energy-efficient

Hunter Panels has released Cool-Vent, its environmentally friendly rigid roof insulation panel. Composed of polyisocyanurate foam core manufactured as ventilated nailbase roof insulation, the product offers thermal insulating and allows air circulation.

Cool-Vent has a top layer of oriented strand board or plywood, middle layer of wood spacers and polyisocyanurate foam for its bottom layer. One-inch air space is said to save energy by decreasing moisture vapor and heat buildup. Cool-Vent can be used on roof slopes greater than 3-in-12 and with roof applications such as shake, slate, tile and metal.

Cetco Building Materials Group has introduced the StrongSeal RidgeCap, a self-adhering asphalt-free line of flashings for concrete tile roof systems. It offers one-year exposure and adhesion to concrete and clay tile, is self-sealing and has high-temperature resistance. Folding tools are lightweight

Klenk Tools has released its lightweight extruded aluminum folding tools, which are said to weigh less than half the weight of comparable steel tools. Meant to fold up to 24-gauge steel sheet-metal and ductwork, the folding tools are said to be easy to carry, manipulate and use.

An ergonomic shape with finger ridges offers comfort, and sight holes allow depth alignment for folds that are 3/8-of-an-inch and 1-inch deep. The product is available in 12-, 18- and 24-inch lengths and has no spot-welds to break loose.

Flashing system is efficient

GutterPiller® Inc. has introduced its Retro-Spin® Flashing system that can be used to seal roof penetrations that are not disassembled easily. Retro-Spin can be used with Retro-Fit® Storm Collars to waterproof a roof system.

Safety eyewear reduces glare

Uvex® has introduced a new line of Polarized Safety Eyewear that is said to reduce glare and improve visual clarity, allowing users to see fine details and deep colors. To be used for outdoor work, the eyewear has polarized lenses with filters that block 99.9 percent of ultraviolet and harmful blue light. The process for Uvex lenses consists of combining the filters with lenses while they are in liquid form, which is said to yield high-quality, optically clear lenses.
