The jobless rate fell in 34 U.S. states in March, which is the largest number of states to record a decline since June 2010, according to

The jobless rate increased in seven states and held steady in nine states and Washington, D.C. Thirty-eight states reported net job gains, with the most in Texas, which added 37,200 jobs.
North Dakota had the lowest unemployment rate at 3.6 percent followed by Nebraska at 4.2 percent and South Dakota at 4.9 percent.
Nevada had the highest unemployment rate at 13.2 percent followed by California at 12 percent and Florida at 11.1 percent.
