The Untreated Alternative® to cedar shingles

Tropical Timberwoods Inc. introduces Turada® hardwood shingles that will add a touch of rustic elegance to your projects. These real wood shingles are aesthetically pleasing, highly durable and complement the cross-section where quality and beauty intersect. They meet a Class "A" Fire Rated Roof System (untreated) and require zero maintenance. They turn from a reddish tone to a majestic silver patina hue, and installation is no different from that of traditional cedarwood shingles. For an authentic classic, rustic look and long-term protection, there is no substitute. For more information, visit www.NotCedar.com or call (855) 4Turada (488-7232).

Flex RhinoBond system speeds cool roof system installation

The Flex RhinoBond system is used for mechanical attachment of thermoplastic single-ply roofing materials. The system welds the roof membrane directly to high-strength plates without penetrating the material. The system is approved by Factory Mutual for performance up to 120-pounds-per-square-foot wind uplift. The Flex RhinoBond system includes special fastener plates to apply roof deck insulation board. An experienced operator can weld 300 plates per hour. For more information, visit www.FlexRoofingSystems.com.

Helicopter material transportation

Midwest Helicopter Airways has pioneered the lift business since 1968, specializing in precision load setting and rooftop equipment transportation. The S-58T aircraft is capable of transporting each load within minutes and has a 4,500-pound lift capacity. (One hundred lifts can be completed in about three hours.) Palletized roofing material, insulation, solar panels and rooftop units can be lifted with ease, saving you valuable time and labor.
