Roofing Alliance sponsors ninth student competition

The Roofing Alliance has announced six schools will participate in its 2023 Construction Management Student Competition.

The Roofing Alliance’s student competition promotes careers in roofing industry management. In addition to providing a significant learning opportunity, the competition fosters an environment that will bring out the best in each team; encourage dialogue among the students; and foster team spirit as students rise to meet the challenge. It features teams of four college and university students testing their roofing, project management, estimating, safety, quality control and presentation skills.  

The Roofing Alliance is pleased to announce the following six schools have indicated their intent to participate in the eighth annual student competition:  

Bradley University, Peoria, Ill.
California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo
Clemson University, Clemson, S.C.
Colorado State University, Fort Collins
Texas A&M University, College Station
University of Florida, Gainesville

The teams will bid to reroof Globe Life Field in Dallas. Competition judges will review the proposals, and five finalist teams will be announced in January 2023. Finalist teams will present March 8, 2023, during the International Roofing Expo® in Dallas. Winners will be announced that evening at NRCA’s Industry Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception.
