One hundred years of philanthropy

During the past century, U.S.-based philanthropies have led to some of society's biggest achievements, according to The Rockefeller Foundation. Philanthropies have "helped create the field of public health, built schools, fought for human rights and supported farming techniques that fed billions and lifted economies around the world."

The Rockefeller Foundation illustrates the importance of philanthropies and their achievements in "A World Changed: 100 Years of Philanthropy."
