Nestled at the end of a residential street in Elizabethtown,
Ky., stands the Keith residence. The neo-Mediterranean-style home
has the clean lines of Frank Lloyd Wright's design style with
Spanish influences. Its bright red door stands out among the
surrounding trees and vegetation.
The original roof was constructed using traditional asphalt
shingles, but six years after installation it needed to be
replaced. As a result, the Keiths sought a different roofing option
for their home. This led the owners to choose a standing-seam metal
panel roof system.
Nett Construction LLC, Elizabethtown, installed 100 squares of
Metal Sales Manufacturing Corp.'s 24-gauge, 16-inch-wide vertical
seam steel panels with a Kynar 500® coating in dark bronze. The
panel color complements the home's exterior accents around the
windows and front door.
