Professional Roofing: What is the most unusual roofing
project you've performed?
Cutrona: The Hasbro Toy Store at Walt Disney World, Orlando, Fla.
We had various crews working on different specialties—tile,
modified bitumen, standing-seam copper and shingles—in close
quarters and a high-profile location. It was a challenge!
Why did you become a roofing contractor?
I wanted to know and understand the business my husband, Jerry, and
I owned. For the first few years we owned the company, I did not
work in roofing. I decided to get my roofing license a couple of
years later, and here we are. It was a gradual transition for me
that took about one year.
What are your favorite items on your desk?
I have two: Family photos—mostly taken on various vacations
(they bring back such good memories)—and my calculator. It's
about 15 years old, and we are such a great team. I dread
