GAF acquires shingle facility

Wayne, N.J.-based GAF Materials Corp. acquired Meridian, Miss.-based Atlas Roofing Corp.'s Quakertown, Pa., manufacturing facility on May 7.

"This acquisition will enable us to keep pace with the growing demand for our product in North American markets," says William Collins, GAF's president and chief executive officer.
