Winners of NRCA's third annual Children's Art Contest are announced


  • Rocky Benson, grade 2, grandson of Don Guthrie, president of Wayne’s Roofing Inc., Sumner, Wash.
  • Isabella Jube, grade 4, daughter of Raphael Jube, director of operations Ideal Building Solutions, Norcross, Ga.
  • Bella Parli, grade 7, granddaughter of Jack Diamond, owner of A Good Roofer Inc., Lakeside, Calif.

For the third year, NRCA conducted its Children's Art Contest as part of National Roofing Week, June 5-11. Sponsored by A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply, Aurora, Ill., the contest was open to children in grades 1-8 who are relatives of NRCA members and their employees. Children were asked to illustrate the importance of what roofs do, and 53 entries were submitted. Online public voting on NRCA's website generated more than 3,000 votes. The following three entries were winners in their category.
