Polyglass U.S.A., Inc. donates to relief efforts

Polyglass U.S.A. donated self-adhering roof membranes to support rebuilding efforts in the Bahamas.

Polyglass U.S.A., Inc., Deerfield Beach, Fla., continues to aid in the relief effort to rebuild communities in the Bahamas after Category 5 Hurricane Dorian displaced thousands of people from their homes in 2019. More than a year after the hurricane hit, many people in the affected area still are camping in tents because they do not have suitable roofs or livable housing.

Polyglass U.S.A. partnered with Sol Relief, a disaster relief organization based in St. Petersburg, Fla., and has contributed several shipments of self-adhering roof membranes to build roofs so families can move back into their homes.

Tracy Harris, director of operations for Sol Relief, says Polyglass U.S.A. donated 2,428 rolls of waterproof roof membrane that will help protect 300 homes in Marsh Harbour, Bahamas. Polyglass U.S.A. previously donated 621 rolls to protect 80 homes in May 2020.
