What is your position within your company?
I am chief administrative officer of Metal Roof Specialties, Tacoma, Wash.

What is the most unusual roofing project you've performed?
The most unusual project I have performed was on a high-end residence that had a standing-seam radius roof system and radius wall panels.

Why did you become involved in the roofing industry?
I wanted to work with my dad, and I had strong beliefs in the future of metal roofing.

What was your first roofing experience?
Standing near my dad when I was 3 years old while he installed the standing-seam metal roof system on our new home

What is your roofing industry involvement?
Besides working in the roofing industry every day, I am a graduate of NRCA's Future Executives Institute, class of 2011.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Dubai

What are your best and worst habits?
My best habits are being consistent, trustworthy and hardworking; my worst habits are procrastinating and putting others before myself.

What is your biggest pet peeve?
People who don't follow through on their word and don't take responsibility for their actions

Christmas Jars by James F. Wright and the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling

A pilot

Getting to work with my dad

I have two: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result" and "Own it."

What are the most challenging aspects of your job?
Educating buyers and keeping up with the changing world

What do you consider your most rewarding experiences?
My most rewarding experiences have been serving as the president of Rebuilding Together® South Sound in Tacoma, and for the past five years, I have organized a gift campaign for local children in need during the holiday season.

What is one extravagance you allow yourself?
I allow myself to buy whatever I want from my mom's boutique, A Picket Fence!
