National Roofing Week 2016

Mark your calendar! This year's National Roofing Week will take place June 5-11 and will highlight even more of what NRCA members do every day.

Organized by NRCA, National Roofing Week is celebrated each summer. Its mission is to increase awareness across the U.S. about the significance of roofs to every home and business and share the good deeds of the industry. National Roofing Week also promotes the importance of hiring NRCA roofing professionals and making informed decisions about replacing, repairing and maintaining roof systems.

All NRCA members will be receiving their National Roofing Week social media cards this month as part of their April For Members Only newsletter. The cards will include instructions about how to post photos with the card on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. This year, each day of National Roofing Week will focus on a different theme, such as employee recognition, signature roofing projects and more. I encourage you to start thinking about how you will celebrate National Roofing Week and share your intentions with NRCA via social media.

In addition, the deadline for the Children's Art Contest is fast-approaching—April 15. The contest, sponsored by A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply, Aurora, Ill., is open to children in grades 1-8 who are related to any employee of an NRCA member company (not just contractor members). Children are asked to illustrate the importance of roofs and what they do. Winners will be determined by public voting on NRCA's website and will receive various prizes. Winning entries also will be featured on all 2016 National Roofing Week material and additional promotional material to be displayed at industry events throughout the year, including the 2017 International Roofing Expo® and NRCA's 130th Annual Convention in Las Vegas.
