Modules are recycled

Weston Solutions Inc. has developed modules made of 100 percent recycled material for its GreenGrid® Green Roof System.

GreenGrid Green Roof System modules are available in three depths—Ultra Extensive, Extensive and Intensive. Ultra Extensive modules are 2 1/2 inches deep, weigh 10 pounds per square foot and support sedum species. Extensive modules are 4 inches deep; weigh 15 pounds per square foot; and support shallow rooting grass, sedum and wildflower species. Intensive modules are 8 inches deep, weigh 28 pounds per square foot, and support ornamental perennials and shrubs.

Manual features updates

CertainTeed Corp. has released the eighth edition of its Shingle Applicator's Manual, which includes flashing details, diagrams and installation tips, as well as new and updated application instructions.

The manual is available in English and Spanish and features an accompanying video that is available on DVD or VHS in both languages.

Mounting stem aids installation

Rostra Precision Controls Inc. has introduced a 5-inch mounting stem for its RearSight® backup camera system. The mounting stem allows RearSight cameras to be mounted on vehicles' windshields.

The 5-inch mounting stem is said to allow installation of the RearSight backup camera—which reportedly provides drivers with a 150-degree view behind a truck or van—on a wide variety of vehicles.

Goggles provide protection

Radians Inc. has introduced the Cloak™ Goggle and Dagger™ Safety Glass to its eye-protection line.

The Cloak Goggle features interchangeable polycarbonate lenses, which are available in three shades—Clear Anti-Fog, Smoke Anti-Fog and Amber Anti-Fog. The goggles also feature chemical-resistant Neoprene head straps and built-in ventilation channels.

The Dagger Safety Glass is available with three polycarbonate lens options—Clear Anti-Fog, Smoke Anti-Fog and Indoor/Outdoor Anti-Fog. The goggles feature closed-cell foam padding that reportedly forms a seal around a user's face and provides protection during sanding, woodworking and machinery operation.

Generators comply with EPA

Triton Power Inc. has introduced its H-Series commercial generators, which are said to comply with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.

The H-Series diesel-powered generators range from 20 kW to 565 kW and are available with sound-attenuated enclosures. The generators feature rounded corners, a 62-decibel operation level and aluminum hardware and are said to be safe and durable.

Roof system is reflective

WeatherBond® has introduced its WeatherBond RBR White EPDM roof system. The roof system is ENERGY STAR®-rated and said to provide reflectivity and cool roof capabilities.

The WeatherBond RBR White EPDM roof system is 60 mils thick and 10 feet wide and is available in 50- and 100-foot lengths. The roof system is designed for use with WeatherBond's fully adhered roof systems and reportedly can be used in residential and commercial applications.

Anchors provide safety

DBI-SALA has introduced its Parapet Wall Anchor and Freestanding Counterweight Anchor.

The Parapet Wall Anchor is said to be easy to install without drilling or patching. The anchor fits walls 1 to 14 1/2 inches wide and reportedly can be used as a tie-off point for lanyards, lifelines or ropes, and rope grab systems.

The Freestanding Counterweight Anchor features ergonomically designed 45-pound cast-iron counterweights, which have carrying handles and recessed pockets. Roof system offers variety

Mule-Hide Products Co. Inc. has made available its Self-Adhering Mod Bit roof system in two new colors—pine green and red blend.

The roof system also is available in white, buff, oak, weatherwood, black, chestnut and gray slate. The roof system reportedly can be used in a variety of applications, including commercial low-slope installations and in areas adjacent to steep-slope shingle roof systems.

Design provides strength

Hanson Roof Tile has introduced a flat tile mold design to its Chalet Shake, Southern Shake and Victorian Shake flat tile styles.

The flat tile mold design is 17 1/2 inches long and said to reduce installation time by decreasing the number of tiles per square. The flat tile mold design features a water course that reportedly strengthens the tiles' edges.

Calculated Industries® has introduced its Ultra Scale Master® Pro, a digital area takeoff tool that allows users to measure data from blueprints, architectural plans and other scaled drawings to compute linear, area and volume values for lines, curves and shapes.
