IKO® launches new loyalty program

IKO, Kankakee, Ill., has launched ROOFPRO,™ a new loyalty program designed to help roofing contractors grow their businesses and enhance profits.

The program connects contractors with potential customers so the contractors can assist the customers during the research and buying processes for roofing products. The ROOFPRO GO! app delivers leads from multiple sources to contractors’ smartphones, and real-time alerts throughout the process enable responsive communication between contractors and customers. Contractors interested in becoming an IKO ROOFPRO member can learn more and apply at www.ikoroofpro.com.

In addition, IKO has announced Atlantic Blue was selected by customers as the company’s 2019 shingle color of the year. Customers were shown IKO Dynasty™ shingles’ four new color options and could vote for their favorite via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or at the 2019 International Roofing Expo® in February. Atlantic Blue received 41.6% of the votes, and Shadow Brown took second place with almost 30% of the votes.

ATAS International receives award

ATAS International Inc., Allentown, Pa., has received a 2019 Top Workplace award by Pennsylvania newspaper The Morning Call for a fourth consecutive year.

The Morning Call ranks local companies based on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by Energage, a research firm specializing in organizational health and workplace improvement. Employees are invited to share feedback regarding several aspects of their workplace culture, such as leadership and employee engagement, which then are used to determine Top Workplace recipients.

TAMKO® Building Products reuses recycled materials

TAMKO Building Products, Joplin, Mo., has announced since 2013, it has used 1.1 billion pounds of recycled paper, cardboard, sawdust, plastic and other materials to manufacture its products.

At the company’s Knoxville, Tenn., facility, more than 89 million pounds of recycled cardboard was used to manufacture products during 2018, and 549 million pounds of materials that could not be reused were sent to other recyclers rather than a landfill. TAMKO Building Products also looks for ways to reduce its use of natural resources. A rainwater capture and recycling system reduced water consumption at the company’s Frederick, Md., facility by about 100,000 gallons per year.

“We are proud to use recycled materials and incorporate sustainable practices that benefit our business, customers, employees and communities,” says David Humphreys, president and CEO of TAMKO Building Products. “We care about the health and safety of our communities because our people live and work here too.”
