Tapping screw offers stability

Triangle Fastener Corp. has introduced its WOOD-TO-CONCRETE™ Tapping Screw for attaching wood to concrete, masonry or block.

The 1/4- by 2 3/4-inch tapping screw has a 15/16-inch hex-countersunk drive head said to provide the stability of a hex drive with the flush-mounting feature of a countersunk head wood screw for fast, easy installation. The WOOD-TO-CONCRETE Tapping Screw is coated in TRI-SEAL®'s 1,000-hour salt spray for corrosion protection, has case-hardened dual-thread taps, screws into concrete with nail-point guides and assists with removing debris from a hole. Each box contains 100 pieces and a carbide drill bit.

Report creates rapid roof estimates

EagleView Technologies Inc. has introduced its QuickSquares Report, a sales and marketing reporting tool that delivers an overall roof size estimate in about an hour from the time the order is placed.

QuickSquares provides an easy price point for roofing contractors to quickly obtain an overall square count for residential roofs. The report works with the EagleView solutions suite to offer a means to upgrade to an EagleView Premium report for precise measurements for material ordering and production planning. Membrane provides low water vapor transmission

W.R. Meadows Inc. has introduced PRECON,® a waterproof and vapor-proof membrane for blindside and under slab applications.

The composite sheet membrane is composed of nonwoven fabric, elastomeric membrane and W.R. Meadows' patented seven-layer plasmatic core, reportedly providing the lowest water vapor transmission rating on the market. It can be used in vertical applications where access to the positive side is limited and horizontal applications for under slab waterproofing and vapor proofing. After concrete is poured against PRECON and cured, a mechanical bond forms securing the concrete to the membrane.
