CertainTeed Corp. has introduced its Symphony™ synthetic slate, which is said to feature the texture and contour of quarried slate.

Symphony synthetic slate is available in CertainTeed's Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., markets. It is said to be lightweight and durable and is available in two color blends: colonial gray and capital blend. The synthetic slate reportedly can be installed without special tools and can be fastened by hand-nailing or with a pneumatic nail gun. Symphony synthetic slate is said to withstand foot traffic and cold conditions and reportedly will not crack, buckle or curl.

RingMate's hinge reportedly locks, allowing the portable desktop to be used as an easel that features slip-resistant rubber feet. Systems are versatile

The Garland Co. Inc. has introduced a series of two-ply polymer-modified bitumen roofing products that are said to be waterproof and reduce labor and material costs.

The company's two-ply polymer-modified bitumen systems reportedly can be hot-applied, cold-applied, torch-applied or self-adhered and can be configured with mineral, smooth or gravel surfacing.

Walkway is heat-welded

Carlisle SynTec Inc. has introduced the Sure-Weld® Walkway Roll for use with its Sure-Weld TPO roof system. The walkway can be heat-welded and features a diamondplate tread pattern that reportedly provides slip resistance and water drainage.

Sure-Weld Walkway Roll is 34 inches wide and 50 feet long and is available in white, gray and tan. The walkway features 80-mil-thick yellow edges that have no tread pattern and reportedly act as welding tabs to allow the walkway to be attached securely to TPO membranes.
