Fall-protection equipment fits women

Norguard Industries Inc. has introduced its Go Pro-Girl™ line of fall-protection equipment specifically designed for women; the line includes harnesses and lanyards.

The harnesses are made of polyester webbing and reportedly have a minimum breaking strength of 6,000 pounds; the lanyards reportedly have a minimum breaking strength of 9,800 pounds. The equipment is available with three connection options: pass through, tongue and buckle, or Kwik-Loc buckles. Norguard's X-Pad comfort support can be added to any Go Pro-Girl harness and reportedly provides additional comfort.

Tool is ergonomic

OMG Roofing Products has introduced its AccuSeam membrane attachment tool, which can be used while standing to install fasteners and plates in thermoplastic membranes during low-slope roof system installations. The tool reportedly is ergonomic and helps reduce repetitive-stress injuries.

AccuSeam positions a 2 3/8-inch EyeHook™ plate and drives the fastener perpendicular, reportedly providing maximum engagement and pullout performance. AccuSeam is used with OMG Roofing Products' #14 heavy-duty or #15 extra heavy-duty fasteners in lengths up to 6 inches and reportedly can be used with steel and wood decks. The tool features a depth adjustment ring that is said to eliminate overdriving and underdriving fasteners and has an integrated measuring tail that reportedly allows users to space lap plates at 6 or 12 inches. Vent harvests attic air

Energy Alternatives LLC has introduced its Greenward™ Ridge Vent, which reportedly harvests ambient hot attic air as it escapes through a roof's ridge and uses it to heat water entering a home's hot-water tank.

As the hot attic air escapes through a roof's ridge, it passes over flexible tubes contained in Greenward Ridge Vent's material. The tubes carry a water- and corn-based glycol solution that is heated by the escaping hot attic air. A circulator pump pushes the solution in a closed loop into a hot-water storage tank where it heats incoming city or well water.

GAF Materials Corp. has introduced its EverGuard® Energy Tan TPO, a tan roof membrane that reportedly meets Title 24 energy-saving requirements and has a solar reflectivity of 0.72 and emissivity of 0.89.

EverGuard Energy Tan TPO is available in 0.045-, 0.06- and 0.08-inch thicknesses and 5- by 100-foot or 10- by 100-foot rolls. Product line provides options

CertainTeed Corp. has added a new color, accessory and bundling option, as well as new sizes, to its Symphony™ Composite Slate Shingles Series, which reportedly look like natural slate and are said to be lightweight, durable and cost-effective.

CertainTeed has expanded the Symphony color palette to include evergreen, a mixture of two green-shaded shingles that reportedly feature the textures and contours of natural slate.
